Enteral Feeding Products Transition & GEDSA Information

The Global Enteral Device Supplier Association (GEDSA) announced in September of 2020 that member manufacturers will phase out legacy enteral feeding products and transition adaptors. This transition will meet ISO standard 80369-3, commonly referred to as ENFit™, which aims to maximize patient safety by reducing the risk of enteral tubing misconnections.

Moog and Cardinal Health, both members of GEDSA, fully support this essential safety initiative, and  are committed to removing the transitional connector from products so that they are ENFit-only compatible. Enteral feeding sets with transition connectors are being discontinued and manufacturing of enteral sets wil ENFit-only are begining to be rolled-out.
