NHIA Provides Guidance for Addressing Shortages of Sodium Chloride 0.9% Injection Syringes for Flushing Venous Access Devices

As supply chain disruptions, increased demand, and manufacturer discontinuations continue to put prefilled non-sterile syringes on backorder lists everywhere, The National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) has compiled product shortage recommendations to help clinicians manage patient care and conserve prefilled non-sterile syringe supplies during this time when they may not be readily available.
